V Nottingham Forest, League One, 3pm
By Jack Carnill

1. Why you were looking forward to going to the ground (or not as the case
may be)

Yes, its only just over and hours drive from Nottingham and the tickets were reasonably priced as well.

2. How easy was your journey/finding the ground/car parking

I went on the official coach from forest, it was reasonably easy I would say
if going by car but then car parking did look scarce although if you park
say half a mile away you should have no problems.

3. What you did before the game pub/chippy.... home fans friendly?

There was a burger can parked in the small car park where the coaches parked which was very reasonable compared with some football ground prices, then we went into the ground. The home fans would give you a smile, not like some dodgy looks you get at some places.

4. What you thought on seeing the ground, first impressions of away end then other sides of the ground.

Well at least the away end is covered, its rather shallow slope so children
under 12/13 may struggle to see although there was plenty of seats available to move into if it was really bothering you. The concourse is a reasonable size and the rest of the ground is average for league one standard.

5. Comment on the game itself, atmosphere, stewards, pies, toilets etc..

The game its self lacked good football from both sides however the
atmosphere in our end was good. There's around 50/60 vale fans who tend to sing and move seats at half time to which end their attacking. The stewards and turnstile staff where friendly. With your pie you got some dodgy  tea/coffee stirrer to eat it with, not even a plastic spoon.

6. Comment on getting away from the ground after the game

After the game the police gave it around 10 / 15 mins before giving our coaches an escort, not sure weather this is the same with ever club who goes there or not. They did put some service busses on to take fans from the ground to the train station for a small charge. Once a mile or so away there was no real traffic at all.

7. Summary of overall thoughts of the day out

Overall it was a good day out, one of the better and well priced grounds in
league one. Well worth going and would go again, however I hope that we will get promoted first!
